In order to work with RIF 3.0, educators must first create a class. After entering basic information about a class, a working environment is created for that class.
Selecting a trial class: You have the option of creating a ‘trial class’. This is not a real class or group that you work with, but rather a class that can be used to try out or familiarize yourself with the RIF 3.0 learning platform. In this case, activate the [Trial Class] button when creating a class.
In general, the anonymous data from RIF 3.0 is evaluated scientifically. By creating such a trial class, it is clear that the data from the class is not scientifically reliable; therefore, it is not included in the anaylses.
As an educator, immediately after entering the basic information, you will receive a message at the email address you provided with a confirmation link to create the class. Afterwards, another email will be sent with the class code (for activating task groups and retrieving class data or class results) and the access codes for the participating students. You will provide each student with one of these individual access codes so that they can start and work on activated task groups in RIF 3.0.
